⭐⭐⭐☆☆ We booked 3 nights but, unfortunately, only made it through 1. 😅 The staff were genuinely kind, the hotel was very clean, and we were incredibly grateful to be allowed to check in around 12:52 p.m. instead of waiting until 4:00 p.m. 🙏 The common areas looked lovely, and we appreciated having a kitchenette and an unusually large refrigerator in the room. 😊 That said, sleep was... an adventure. 😴 🍽️ The kitchenette had no microwave, so every meal meant a trip from the third floor down to the shared commercial kitchen. 🛋️ The sofa bed wasn't really suitable for sleeping. It had a plastic-covered surface, and the metal supports could be felt through the cushions, making for a very uncomfortable night for my son. 🛏️ Every pillow in the room was extremely firm. If you like soft pillows, you may want to bring your own. 📺 The TV's indicator light blinked on and off all night. We tried covering it, but it still lit up the room enough to keep waking us. 💡 Outside the window were two very bright lights that stayed on all night. ❄️ The room also stayed surprisingly cold. Even after adjusting the air conditioning, it continued blowing chilly air. My son's blanket was too thin, so in the middle of summer he ended up sleeping in long sleeves and pants just to stay warm. By morning, we both had headaches and were so sleep-deprived that we decided to check out early instead of staying the remaining two nights. This hotel has some real positives—friendly staff, spotless facilities, a nice common area, and thoughtful early check-in. 🌟 We simply wish the sleeping experience had been as comfortable as the rest of our stay.

Stayed with my mom and had a good experience. Clean, comfortable, soaps and coffee provided. Nice to have the bar on site with lots of outside space and the location on the river is top.

I was ill with an energy draining cold when I decided that I should get a room. The Block was first on the booking site and looked interesting!! Having a service dog and being ill, I needed an area close by to exercise him, and a comfortable bed. I got both, although I wasn't prepared for the rock hard overstuffed pillows; the room that I chose was minimal, shared bathroom, (towels and toiletries provided) no water glasses etc. I would still highly recommend this to any adventurous soul!! Just come prepared.... There is enjoyable sitting areas, a bar, kitchen, pool....everything!

Cute place, dog-friendly! Great access to walking paths like this one by the river.
