Booked for week of May 24th. 2026 We checked out in 30 minutes because of Bed Bugs!!!!! - Stains and Scuff across the hotel in common areas and room - 30.00 per Night Parking in their own Hotel lot - Waiting on refund ...

Mike and Kai delivers excellent guest service we return at least once a month because of the great ocean view and excellent care!!! Thank you Mike for being so incredible!

HORRIBLE best describes our stay. We chose this room specifically for the tempur pedic beds that we were promised by two staff members would be in the room. This was absolutely not true. The mattress was very soft and lumpy, and we both had a horrible night's sleep. On top of this, the hook on the wall in the bathroom to hold a towel fell off and landed on my foot. There was nobody no one at the front desk to talk to about these problems. This place does not care about their customer service or your stay. Please beware.

Such a beautiful stay. Place is easy to find. Parking is available and easily accessible. Rooms are clean, gorgeous and comfortable bed. Everything I needed for a simple getaway. Michael at the front desk was very kind, efficient and very attentive. Shops, restaurants and beach are close by. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Honestly had a nice stay here! Everything about the experience was nice. Can’t beat the beach proximity. Bathroom was somewhat outdated, could use some small upgrades. Also did not see there was a parking fee, so note that.

Nice place Parking sucks if you have anything bigger than a Kia Soul.

Hotel Solarena has the "bones" for a potentially great hotel. The website description of beach view could only possibly work from the 3rd floor corner rooms (there are only 2), where you will see a teensy piece of beach across PCH, and through the side street. See the photo of my balcony beach view. The carpet in the hallways is disgusting. The curtains in our room were dangling, not in the way a curtain should (see photo). The duvet had the texture of a freezer waffle (large bumps where the fill has gathered in each 'cell' of the duvet). Sheets were rough/pilled, AND covered with what I think is dog hair, as well as short black hairs. IDK what that stuff is around the sink drain, but hard not to gag while brushing my teeth. Not pictured is the filth behind that sink/around the faucet, as well as the dirty soap holder. The floor had noticeable dirt/food drip/whatever, dog hair, ick. With some attention to upkeep, detailed cleaning, and updating of bedding, Solarena would be a very nice place to stay. Do not let the website photos fool you. Those are either model rooms, or pics from right after an update from probably 3-5 years ago. Finally, I had to inquire about an extra $100 charge that was not explained to me at check in. The desk person tried to tell me I wasn't charged anything extra. I had to press for her to look further (I had a notification from my credit card.) She finally 'found' the charge, apparently it's a deposit. She said, "You should see a refund in 5-7 days, and if not, give us a call." I should not have to follow up on a refund of a deposit!

Received exceptional customer service from the staff and resort. Location is exceptional and a couple hundred feet away from the beach. Staff was very attentive including from Yash. He was very helpful throughout the check-in process and in assisting guests accessing their rooms. Would definitely come back.

Everything was perfect, rooms,and location are awesome.

You can not beat the location. You just cross one street and you’re at the beach. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s clean. Good parking!
