Clean rooms AC works great very good deal for the price. Ask for weekly rates! They have basically the nicest cat ever that hangs out, outside of the office to greet you. Most hotels in the price range have bedbugs in the reviews and seem sketchy but this place was not only affordable but had friendly staff and was clean.
Great place that reminds you of a much more expensive hotel. Especially it being so close to beach. Staff is amazing nice and accommodating. Anytime I stay in this area for work this will be my spot.
Stayed for two weeks. The room wasn't bad, and it is in a convenient location. My problem was the noise at times... bass turned up in car that kept coming and going and so on. Someone working on the rooms with a loud tool outside the room tht went on all day. Other than that at the time, pretty good stay. Also, I think there needs to be more service for extended stayers... such as making the beds up more and more towels.
Goes above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied
Went into the room and almost immediately cockroaches were crawling on the floor and up our legs the most disgusting experience I only came here as a last minute option (sent the video to management)
I have this 3 stars because of friendly service, good value, and no major red flag issues. Our stay at the Sunny Palms Inn was prompted by a last-minute Airbnb cancellation during Spring Break. While we chose to remain at the property due to limited local availability and high seasonal rates elsewhere, the experience was marked by significant maintenance and safety issues. We did not provide the full scope of this feedback to management during our stay as the volume of issues was excessive; we instead chose to manage the situation ourselves. Safety and Security • Unauthorized Entry/Disturbance: On the first night, there was loud knocking on our door on two separate occasions that woke our entire family. This was reported to management, who stated they would review security footage, but no follow-up or resolution was provided. • Door Security: The units use standard household keys rather than secure hospitality keycards. Additionally, the manual safety lock on our door was broken. • Child Safety: Both television remotes were missing battery covers, posing a safety concern for our small children. Room Condition and Maintenance • Kitchen Utility: While the room was booked with a fridge, stove, and dishwasher, no cookware or utensils were provided—only a few random plates. This rendered the kitchen unusable. • Bathroom Issues: The shower curtain did not reach the floor, causing the bathroom to flood during normal use. Furthermore, the hot and cold water faucets were mislabeled/swapped. • Furniture and Fixtures: The couch was significantly stained, and the dining chairs were extremely wobbly. Kitchen blinds were physically broken, allowing light to leak in. • General Quality: The property appears to rely on consumer-grade furniture and products that are not durable enough for a hospitality environment. The exterior was poorly lit and appeared unmaintained. Service and Amenities • Check-in: There was no staff present upon arrival. We waited approximately 10 minutes for an individual who was managing two separate properties. • Pool: The pool water did not appear to be clean or properly treated. Positive Observations • Cleanliness: The unit was free of bed bugs, grime, and immediate interior cleanliness issues. • Climate Control: The air conditioning and fans functioned effectively throughout the stay. Summary This property is in need of significant repair and updated safety protocols. While it served as a necessary alternative given the circumstances, the lack of basic amenities and security concerns were notable.
This was our second stay at the property, and unfortunately, it will likely be our last. We were charged more than the amount we originally booked for, and at the time, we were told the excess would be refunded—but we never received it. On top of that, we were charged an additional $20 for a stained shower curtain, even though the shower was not used during our stay. While the property itself is nice, our experience with the billing was frustrating and disappointing. I would recommend double-checking charges and being cautious, as we were billed for things we did not do and did not receive the promised refund.
