Day visitors beware! The price you pay $30 for adults and $20 per kid is extremely expensive for one day. And this particular day 6/24/26 happened to have a thunder storm roll through. Not a quick shower but something that lingered for a few hours with lightning in the distance that closed the pool down from about 3-8. Our kids were stuck inside and nothing to do. So I ended up paying $70 to use a pool for 3 hours and I’m pretty annoyed by this. I’m already coming for someone who’s paying for a week stay and there is 1 small water slide at the pool. I’m still kicking myself for even attempting to go but wanted to see long distance friends. I don’t see the point in charging so much for pool access and the site was a camper not the cottages. If it was an overnight stay and a 2 day thing sure I could live with that. Definitely not worth the price.
We had a very wonderful time at Camp Margaritaville in our toy hauler/camper. The staff here are some of the nicest easy going people I’ve ever met at a campground. Cheers to those guys and gals. There are amazing amenities with the pools and tiki bar. The only complaint I have is that they are a little too lenient with parents allowing their kids to ride whatever they want in the paved areas all over the property. I’m not gonna go into to much detail, and do not like a lot of strict rules myself, but when I come around a curve in my big towing rig and there are toddlers in the street in their power wheels at night that I almost run over. That’s a little too far. Those parents should be ashamed of themselves and the facility needs to be a little stricter on allowing kids to roam around in every kind of scooter, electric bike, hover boards, and power wheels they want. Someone is going to get hurt. Sorry for rambling, Other than that it is a wonderful place that we thoroughly enjoyed. We will be back one day.
