The Inn At Jim Thorpe

First time in Jim Thorpe and the Inn was lovely, but we stayed in a satellite building that was a little small and old but still cute!

BILL was very nice and hospitable in our stay here we really enjoyed it Our room was clean and comfortable Highly recommend

I Didn't stay there but one night had a couple of beers and listen to some live music . Small bar but great atmosphere nice people and good beer good sound. Also had dinner there in there restaurant that was also good.

Beautiful historic inn, located perfectly in the heart of Jim Thorpe.

PROS: The hotel is in a historic building with lots of charm and architectural details. The staff at the front desk, as well as the restaurant and the pub are all professional yet friendly. The accoutrements in the bath (lotion, foaming soap, shampoo, body wash, etc.) are of good quality with a nice scent. The rooms are outfitted with electric kettles, coffee supplies, and a refrigerator. If you book directly with the hotel, free breakfast for two is provided, but you need to make reservations for the meal. CONS: The rooms are tiny, small enough that only one side of the bed has a nightstand. The HVAC does not have an adjustment on where the air blows, so the room is either hot or the AC is blowing directly on the bed. There is very little on-site parking at either location (not enough for the number of rooms), and overnight alternatives are not readily available.

They asked my friend to leave because he had a trump hat on. Food is mediocre at best and way over priced.

A wonderful first trip to Jim Thorpe! Choosing to stay at The Inn was the best decision for my first visit to the Poconos. The location couldn't be better—it's totally walkable to the train, scenic trails, and plenty of local shops and restaurants. The Inn itself is full of charm, with spacious, spotless rooms. Having included parking is a massive win since parking in JT can be tough (though fair warning: my Silverado was a tight fit, so bring a smaller car if you can!). The front desk staff was incredible—when I forgot a toothbrush, she had one ready instantly. We also loved the Broadway Bar for its lively atmosphere and great service. To top it off, breakfast was unbelievable—do not skip the steak & eggs or the salmon Benedict! Can’t wait to come back.

Was here for one night. Reserved a suite, got a room. Was given a slip to park in the parking lot. Drove to the lot and all the spots were taken. Went back inside to the desk, told them there are no spots left in the lot. The woman at the desk looks at a list and tells me "oh yes, sorry they gave that spot to someone else." Had to park on the street. Woke up to a ticket on my windshield. Turned on the TV and the streaming service went out and was not available. It's a shame because the place is very cool looking at retains a lot of the classic look of yesteryear. But the management and staff leave a lot to be desired. For me I don't care how you dress it up. If the service is poor I won't be back or recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here from May 29 to June 1 to celebrate my birthday. It was our first trip since his diagnosis with a chronic illness. Unfortunately, we discovered bed bugs in our room. While pest issues can happen to any hotel, the management’s response was completely unacceptable. Staff members repeatedly accused us of bringing the bed bugs into the hotel ourselves. We have not traveled since 2022 and do not have bed bugs at home. Instead of showing empathy, their immediate instinct was to shift blame, dismiss us, and aggressively defend the property. It was deeply troubling. I actually had to ask management for an apology before one was offered and then it was far from sincere. This entire ordeal added massive, unnecessary stress to a trip that was supposed to be a rare, hard-earned refuge for my husband.The sole exception to this awful service was the housekeeping staff. They treated us with genuine kindness, compassion, and care during a highly upsetting situation.If the hotel had handled this crisis with basic professionalism and respect, we would have understood and at most been disappointed. Instead, we were blamed and insulted. I strongly advise booking your stay elsewhere.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time staying at the Inn at Jim Thorpe. We had a lovely room and enjoyed sitting out on the second floor balcony overlooking the main street in town. Location truly can't be beat. The staff was wonderful and super accommodating when our plans changed suddenly and we needed to modify our reservations. I would highly recommend staying here!
