Griffith Park

Griffith Park has been Los Angeles's best-known gay outdoor meeting spot since the 1960s, its trails and wooded slopes above Los Feliz long associated with daytime cruising. Thousands of acres of hillside give it a discreet, open-air character, and it is still referenced across cruising guides today. A word of caution: this is public parkland patrolled by rangers and police, and public sex acts are illegal under California lewd-conduct law — people keep it low-key and daytime. Come for the hiking and views as much as the scene, and be respectful of families and other park users.
