What reviewers say

Visitors praise GLAAD as a wonderful, deaf-friendly place with many helpful resources and a strong sense of community. However, one visitor reported an awful experience where a staff member was dismissive of their personal trauma.

About this place GLAAD

GLAAD, the LGBTQ+ media advocacy group, works out of Los Angeles to push for better representation in film, TV, and news. Don't expect a typical tourist stop here. This isn't a museum or a performance space. Instead, GLAAD’s offices on Wilshire Boulevard are where real work happens, setting the agenda for how LGBTQ+ people are seen in pop culture. You can drop in to hear about their current campaigns, the media they're watching (and calling out), and the big picture of their advocacy. They welcome visitors who want to talk about media representation or just understand the organization's role in Southern California's LGBTQ+ scene. If you're in L.A. and want to see how media shapes the conversation around LGBTQ+ issues, or if you're looking to get involved, GLAAD's website is the place to start. It’s a good way to get a feel for the advocacy that keeps L.A.'s LGBTQ+ community moving forward.
