Quality Inn West Springfield
Visitors appreciate the convenient location and the Japanese restaurant downstairs, with some noting ongoing renovations and improvements to the gym and pool. However, several guests complained about the strong smell of marijuana, cleanliness issues including insects, uncomfortable mattresses, and problems with room temperature and water pressure.

Loud and obnoxious. Every where i went smelled like Marijuana. Felt like I was back in college
Love the Japanese restaurant downstairs. Love the location and the price but the air conditioning in my room wasn't very strong. I stopped here in my camper bc I wanted AC. The bathtub doesn't allow baths, only showers, but the rooms are cool looking. They have that old school feel.
Looks like they are remodeling I had a decent room on the third floor food was good eggs a little watered down but eatable. They have a nice indoor pool and gym was clean with new equipment.
TLDR: Was double charged and refused refund for second room. Caution to people when you are booking rooms, and if you do stay here, make sure you reach out yourself to the front desk to verify that you are only booking one room. I booked this through my Capital One portal. Looking back, I presume the issue was when I typed my zip code incorrectly and was prompted to redo the purchase with correct zip code. However, I had no indication on my end that two reservations were made. This reservation was made same day due to flight changes from weather delays. Upon arrival to Quality Inn, I was informed by Malek that I had booked two reservations under the same name, same time, booked one minute apart. I informed him that this was an error, since I only received ONE confirmation email about the one reservation. I asked for a refund on the second reservation since it was clearly an error. He stated that since it was through a third party, same day, it was non-refundable. He stated that he wouldn’t be able to do anything for me and to contact my Capital One travel agents. When they contacted him, they were advised that I could only receive 50% refund due to it being a same day non refundable reservation. I understand that there’s an extent to which the system allows mistakes and their power for correction. But due to only receiving one confirmation code on my end, and having no other indication to me that I had actually booked two reservations, and finally not being refunded for the second reservation - I won’t be booking through Quality Inn in my travels again. Overhearing my dilemma, my next door neighbor also said they were double charged - so I fear that this may be a common occurrence.
