Lots of good book selections. Friendly staff. Very community and Activism focused.

How do I begin to describe this bookstore. From the outside, it is very unassuming. Once you enter, however, you're transported to a space where, let's face it, people with actual minds can dance with authors on the shelves. I LOVED the Palestine resources when you walk in. We can't find such things in the South. I also liked that they had top tier condition used books on the shelf as an alternative to paying full price for some titles. Also, I didn't mind wearing a mask as I guessed that either a staff member or clients had an immunocompromised condition. As we say in life, just be nice and do the right thing. The poetry, essay, small press, and philosophy (theory, politics, abolition, etc.) were really good. The religion books they did have were tasteful and not claptrap (thank you). Also, the staff were really friendly. I will definitely be back next year.

Very fun independent book store with so many cool books and gifts and stickers. LGBTQIA+ friendly!

This is easily my favorite store. It's my safe space, my home away from home. I always look forward to my trips and can't wait to visit again!

I visited this store recently while visiting Madison. It is so cool! I found a couple of really interesting horror titles by authors I had never heard of before. I really appreciate that they carry books from diverse authors, as I'd been looking for queer and POC horror authors. Staff are super friendly and I felt very safe there.

Great selection of books - I got one of the books that I've had on my list for awhile, at a discounted price! They also have cute stickers, bookmarks, etc. Just a heads up that there is a mask requirement.

Lovely bookstore with a great selection.

They allowed me and my friend to shelter inside during a tornado warning! :) Apart from that, the store is genuinely really fun to explore as they not only have a huge selection of books, but also stickers, keychains, tabletop games, DND materials, apparel, trinkets, and various other odds and ends. We were passing through Madison after a concert looking for something to do when we saw a bookstore in a nearby city. We live over 2 hours away, but we will definitely be back to pay this bookstore another visit!
