I was pleasantly surprised to find such a convenient campground so close to Londonderry. We booked a weekend birthday camping trip and didn’t realize how close it actually was to the Derry area — only a 15-minute drive to Walmart and other stores. Our site (R-25) was the perfect size and ideally located near the camp store, beach, and restrooms, with a porta potty nearby as well. The beach area was charming and a great size for the whole group. The staff were incredibly friendly and clearly take pride in maintaining the campground. One of them was even singing while mowing the lawn — it was a fun little moment that added to the experience! Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely be back. It’s nice knowing there’s a fantastic campground this close by, so we don’t have to drive further north.

Very clean grounds. The main bathrooms were cleaned daily. There were 2 showers that had a quarter machine in them but upon asking how much they were, I found out they were free and no limits on usage!! I stayed in F3, which is a tent site at the back of the campground, and it was pretty secluded. I was close to the volleyball and basketball area, and even though I could see and hear people play, that area closes at dusk so it was VERY quiet and peaceful when I needed it to be. I pretty much had my own toilet (porta potty) that was cleaned every Monday. The staff were AMAZING and very welcoming. I brought my nieces for a visit and we all enjoyed swimming and license free fishing in the big pond (lake). They have their own little general store and the ice and wood were cheaper than the stores! I would say that the only set back was that their store closed at 4 and both the laundry facility and the showers closed at 5. Other than that, the place was incredible!!

What dumpy eyesore for our town. I never seen do many junk boats laying around. Looks like a tsunami hit Camp Calef. Clean up your act or relocate.
