About this place Breezeway Pub

The Breezeway Pub is Manchester's gay bar - and with Element Lounge and Club Manchvegas both long closed, it is the only one in New Hampshire's largest city and effectively the anchor of the state's southern queer scene. You will find it at 14 Pearl Street, a short walk from the Elm Street strip downtown. It runs like a proper neighborhood pub. Regulars at the bar, reasonably priced drinks, a small dance floor in back, and a calendar that leans on karaoke nights and drag shows that regularly pack the room. The drag lineup mixes local queens with touring performers, and shows here have a fundraiser streak - the pub teams up with the Manchester True Collaborative, the state's first LGBTQ+ community center, on events like drag-show food drives. The crowd is mixed in every sense: ages, genders, locals and the occasional Boston day-tripper who did not expect to find a gay bar this far north of the border. Newcomers get talked to at the bar whether they like it or not - it is that kind of room. Doors typically open at 6pm and the pub is closed on Tuesdays. During Queen City Pride in June it becomes the unofficial afterparty headquarters, so expect a line. Cash is handy for tipping performers.
