About This Event

Twin Cities Pride happens in Minneapolis's Loring Park, the last full weekend of June. Over 400,000 people come.

It's one of the biggest LGBTQ+ events in the country, and proportionally, one of the largest. The Twin Cities metro population is smaller than cities like New York or Chicago, but the Pride turnout is huge.

Loring Park, long the center of Minneapolis's LGBTQ+ community, is where it all takes place. You'll find stages, hundreds of exhibitors (both community groups and corporations), plus food and drink stalls. Sunday brings the parade, one of the Midwest's oldest, marching through downtown Minneapolis right to the park.

Twin Cities Pride, a non-profit, has run the event since 1972. They schedule it for late June, when Minneapolis finally gets its good weather. Days are long and warm, with temperatures often in the high 20s Celsius. After those winters, locals really appreciate it.
