About this place Golden Pheasant Inn

The Golden Pheasant Inn: an elegant retreat in New Hope, Pennsylvania's welcoming LGBTQ+ destination.

Built in 1857, this upscale bed and breakfast is on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s right on the Delaware River, a quiet spot in one of the Northeast's most popular gay-friendly towns.

You’ll find three rooms and one suite. Each has an en suite bathroom, good linens, free WiFi, and iHome docking stations. Some also have fireplaces and river views, which is nice. Breakfast is free, served in the inn’s fine-dining restaurant, where you can eat outside by the river. There's also a big front porch with seating, free bikes to borrow, and free parking.

New Hope has been an LGBTQ+ destination for a long time, known for its art, antique shops, restaurants, and a generally friendly vibe. Staying somewhere that’s explicitly gay-friendly means you don’t have to think about it. Just relax. One thing to know: no young kids here, it's an adults-only place. It's a refined base for seeing New Hope, whether you’re here for a romantic weekend, a solo trip, or with friends.

We had dinner at the Golden Pheasant Inn... let's start with the positives: The service was wonderful! We really liked our waitress and she even accommodated us when we requested to move tables... she also provided us with a box of chocolates because she knew we were there celebrating our anniversary... the atmosphere was nice... very clean and had an upscale look The table we were sat at was right at a floor grate so my chair did not sit properly on the floor... it was very uncomfortable so we asked to move... the food was ok, but lacked flavor... the steak was overcooked and the saffron rice was mushy... honestly, we have had better food at a chain restaurant... food quality unfortunately didn't match the atmosphere and service

Took my wife here for her birthday in May. I gave the rooms 5 stars because I did not stay there, just had dinner. Unfortunately, the food was just so-so. My wife had the mussels which some did not smell right. I’m sorry, but if you are offering mussels, you should make sure they are perfect before serving. I had the pasta primavera which was okay, nothing special. Service was very good.

Big Black Bass fans and wanted to try Golden Pheasant Sunday Brunch .10 cars in driveway ,but told only seating was in bar. Very snobby hostess. Will not go back.
