About this place Barracuda Lounge

Barracuda Lounge is a gay bar in Chelsea, one of New York City's most established LGBTQ+ neighborhoods.

The place has been around. It's gotten nods from the likes of The Village Voice, New York Magazine, and NY Press, plus Odyssey. That's a decent run of local press for a bar in a city where most last about 18 months.

You’re getting a gay bar in Manhattan. Expect a crowd of LGBTQ+ travelers and locals, all out to drink and socialize. Chelsea's bars and clubs are known for their inclusive vibe and a mix of people, and Barracuda holds up its end of the bargain.

You'll find it at 275 W 22nd Street, right in the thick of Chelsea, surrounded by other bars and clubs. All those awards it's picked up over the years suggest a level of quality that keeps people coming back, whether they live here or are just passing through.

Renovation is nice but it needs more clients. Gotta get that marketing going!

Typical local bar, nothing special or unusual.

I pulled up at 1:50am sober and got denied entry because they "just did last call." I waited outside for my friends in the rain. The security is always rude. The bar staff is always rude. Only plus is getting ID'd when your hair is greying.
