Smith College Resource Center for Sexuality and Gender

The Resource Center for Sexuality and Gender is Smith College's office for LGBTQ+ students. It runs out of Wesley House on campus and offers advising, a community space and programming during the academic year. Smith, a women's college founded in 1871, is one of the reasons Northampton has a long-established queer community. The center serves enrolled students first; it is not a drop-in venue for visitors. For general LGBTQ+ information in the Pioneer Valley, other Five College resources such as UMass Amherst's Stonewall Center are also worth contacting. Phone: 413-585-6014.
