About this place Ogunquit Beach

Ogunquit Beach is a long public sand beach on the southern Maine coast, backed by the Ogunquit River. It's a mainstream family beach, but Ogunquit has been a gay summer town for decades, and gay beachgoers traditionally gather on the stretch north of the main Beach Street entrance. The water is cold even in July and August, and tides change the width of the beach a lot. Parking at Beach Street fills fast on summer weekends; the town trolley is easier. The village's gay bars and inns are a short walk inland.

Idelic Maine beach, watch for tide information before you go as high tide comes up so high that there's not much beach left, good news is the tide goes out as fast as it comes in, plentiful parking albeit A.P.I.T.A. parking app, shops with snacks, ice cream etc close by, clean restrooms and generally friendly and happy beach goers.
