Dragonfly Guest House

The Dragonfly Guest House is an incredible bed and breakfast. My wife and I stayed here for the first time in 2017 for our honeymoon have again in 2022 and 2025. The hosts (Charles and David) are amazing. They are attentive and always willing to chat and offer advice for fun activities to do. Breakfast is delicious with many options from homemade hot entrees to fresh fruit. Fresh baked cookies are available every day in the afternoon. The house is clean and cozy and the rooms feel comfortable and private. The Dragonfly Guest House is located within walking distance of everything you need and want to do in Ogunquit. The Marginal Way, Perkins Cove, the town square, and the beach are all easily walkable. This is definitely an adult retreat in the best ways. We will always stay here and could not recommend a better experience when visiting Ogunquit.

Charles and David are the consummate hosts. They welcome guests with David's delicious cookies and a variety of beverages every afternoon. Breakfasts are Charlie's creations, beyond the typical bagels and yogurt: fresh fruit and breakfast entre that features his signature French toast on Sundays. We can't wait to come back! We recently spent 4 days and nights at the Dragonfly Inn while visiting the Maine resort town of Ogunquit. The thing is that if you’re planning a stay in the Ogunquit area you cannot find any better accommodations than we did with hosts Charles & David! Not only is the inn situated in a perfect location; halfway between the center of town and Perkins Cove but the house and property are gorgeous! From the delicious homemade breakfasts to the assistance offered with daily excursions and outings we enjoyed a stress free stay. Regarding our accommodations; Charles & David have created an atmosphere of homey comfort and quiet exclusivity that we cherish when traveling. For these reasons and many others too numerous to mention, we highly recommend you consider spending your time at the Dragonfly Inn while staying in the Ogunquit area! Thanks again to our hosts! I’ve been coming to Ogunquit for many years but with my children. Now that they’re older teens, I can actually go away without them and had the opportunity to stay at the Dragonfly. I cannot say enough good things about staying here. The location is perfect, Charles and David are truly amazing hosts and the breakfasts and afternoon cookies were outstanding. If I’m being honest, 5 stars isn’t even enough! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

I have been going to Ogunquit for 30+ years. Since we had a large family, we would stay in places around town that fit those needs. Now that we are empty nesters, we want something more intimate and comfortable. After a few summers of hits and misses, we finally landed at the Dragonfly Guest House. Charles and David make you feel like you are coming home even it is your first visit. The House is amazing. It is solid and has character. Each room or area has its own charm. It has taken us a few stays to figure out that we love the Lilac Room the best (although there really is not a bad spot in this whole place!) The location is right in the middle between town and the cove and you are only a 5 min. walk to the Marginal Way. We like to go to Little Beach on the "Way" and it is a 10 min. walk from the house, but the main beach is also easily accessible. We did not move our car the entire time we were visiting this year. Charles and David are also the best hosts and feed us every morning with lovely treats and with warm cookies in the evening. I tell them every time I want to stay longer but in truth, I never want to leave.

Chris and David were terrific hosts, incredibly helpful and fun to talk with. The house and our room were impeccably clean. The back deck is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee while watching the hummingbirds. We stayed in the Sunflower room which faces the street and you will hear cars and motorcycles but this is Ogunquit, not Manhattan so not a big deal. The walls are thin though, we could clearly hear our neighbor talking on the phone and watching TV. Breakfasts were delicious though we need to find a way to ship them Sophia’s yogurt from Belmont! The location was perfect for us since we enjoy walking and riding bikes. It’s equidistant between the main area of town near the beach entrance and Perkins Cove on the other side. It’s also a 10 minute walk to the Ogunquit Playhouse. They provide excellent backpack style beach chairs and beach towels so no need to pack your own. We stayed 3 nights and didn’t use our car once which is how it should be. We look forward to returning and trying another room.

We have been vacationing at the Dragonfly for several years now and see no end in sight to the number of future stays. Yes, it is that awesome! The daily breakfasts and afternoon sweets are simply amazing. Charles and David are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and they will work tirelessly to ensure that you have a wonderful experience.

Our stay at Dragonfly Guest House in Ogunquit, Maine was fantastic!!! The central location could not have been better for our walks. The made to order breakfasts & coffee every morning were simply perfect to start our day of adventuring off to all the beautiful attractions we discovered in Ogunquit. David & Charles were the best of hosts. They told us of all the areas we could visit. The house was beautiful & our room was clean & comfortable. Their gardens are like botanicals that were great for relaxing on the deck. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

My husband and I had another wonderful Ogunquit vacation at the Dragonfly Guest House. The location is perfect, in the center of Shore Rd. There are so many things to do, walk to Perkins Cove (I highly recommend the Footbridge Lobster roll), walk up to the wonderful shops (Lazy Daisy and Sea Bell) and restaurants (Brix & Brine, The Maine Catch), 1 mile walk to the most beautiful beach, and of course the walk along the Marginal Way. When you stay at the Dragonfly it is like staying with old friends. Charles and David are phenomenal hosts! We start each day with a delicious breakfast prepared by Charles, with different entrees and baked good (they are all so good I cannot pick a favorite). We like to eat outside so we can enjoy Charles & David's stunning gardens. After a busy day at the beach or shopping you are welcomed back with a freshly baked afternoon treat. The rooms are so comfortable and beautifully decorated, each with a different theme. Charles and David think of everything so you can just relax and enjoy your stay!

First time in Ogunquit and we were very lucky to book a stay at Dragonfly. Location is perfect, walkable to Perkins Cove, downtown Ogunquit, and Marginal Way. Room was immaculately clean. Delicious breakfast each day on the deck while watching the hummingbirds and monarch butterflies in the garden. They provided towels and chairs for the beach (so convenient). Afternoon cookies, yum! Charles and David are warm and welcoming and so lovely to chat with. Stay here if you can!

My partner and I had the best vacation at this inn. Everything in the room was perfect. We loved the daily prepared breakfast in the morning. I couldn’t of asked for a better inn. The owners were so kind and helpful. I can’t wait to go back

We have spent many vacations in many B&B's, but never have we been. I'm more impressed than the dragonfly. Guest house. Every morning, we were surprised with a gourmet breakfast made in house by charles, they were always a feast for the eyes and beyond that, David made fresh cookies. Every single day served in the dining room table, and they were all fabulous. The beautiful grounds and surroundings at dragonfly, we're so relaxing and soothing to the eye. We really hated. Go to town when we had such a beautiful experience.At dragonfly inn. Our room was so relaxing, great bed, great thick, towels, everything we needed to make us feel special. And David and Charles did exactly that we can't wait to come back. That's all I can say. We just can't wait to come back.
