What reviewers say

Many visitors praise Alibi's for its welcoming atmosphere, especially for the queer community, and highlight fun themed nights, great karaoke, and friendly staff like Destiny and Ryann. However, some guests have found a staff member named Angel to be annoying and rude, and one reviewer noted a decline in the venue's vibe due to AI-generated posters.

the vibes have just plummeted ever since they started solely relying on ai to design their posters. angel is not a fun individual either and i’m not sure why they are kept on the team. just annoying and rude.

My first time writing a negative review, but this experience was too uncomfortable to ignore. When we arrived, our group entered without any ID checks. My boyfriend and I walked in with Red Bull. As we made our way across the bar a staff member named Angel Hamilton then told my boyfriend “no outside drinks.” Because she wasn’t checking IDs, wasn’t identified or dressed as staff, and was leaning against the bar, we initially thought she was another patron. My boyfriend made a quick, joking/whiny noise and went to take a final sip before throwing it away. Before he could do so, Angel abruptly grabbed the can while he was drinking, crushed it into his face, and threw it away. The interaction felt aggressive and completely unnecessary. What made the situation more confusing was that nothing was said to me about my drink, even though I had the same item in hand and stood right in front of her. A few moments later, my boyfriend tried to order a drink, Angel continued to pester him, repeatedly asking if he had “learned manners.” At that point, it felt more like harassment than enforcement of a policy. Both of us have worked in the service industry and understand enforcing rules like no outside beverages, but there is a professional and respectful way to do so. This interaction felt hostile, inconsistent, and unwelcoming from the start. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not return.

This place has become our home bar. One of the bartendresses gave a group of us the name of "safe straights" 😂 ♥️🤌🏾. We've been nothing but welcomed and well served since we've started going there. ALSO, they have a lot of really fun themed nights! First adult prom we've ever attended!!! Karaoke nights are top notch, they have a great brunch and special food on the weekends AND a heated enclosed patio! Don't be afraid to try somewhere new, you just might end up loving it!! ...and no, I'm not a paid reviewer or AI or bot of any kind haha. Just a safe straight that's happy to have been introduced to this environment and have enjoyed watching it grow since it's reopening.
