About this place The Sapphire Lounge

The Sapphire Lounge opened on September 4, 2026 at 741 W Church St in Parramore, in the space that used to be Stonewall and, after that, Heatwave. Its founders, nightlife operator Jay Ruiz and chef Mel Vitale, bill it as Orlando's first and only sapphic+ lounge and restaurant. According to Orlando Weekly, the city hadn't had a lesbian-focused bar since Faces closed in 2007. There's a main room, a patio and an open-air upstairs lounge. The kitchen does Mexican-inspired food, the bar runs a full cocktail list, and the calendar mixes live music, drag, burlesque and DJs. Everyone is welcome, but the place is built around women and the wider sapphic community. It sits a few blocks west of the Kia Center, so plan on a rideshare if you're coming from the Milk District or Ivanhoe Village.
