Savoy Orlando

I haven’t gone out to a nightclub in a while, but decided to stay here for a drink since I was watching a couple fringe shows. The drinks were ok, but it took a while to get one. I stayed for the male review show to support the organization…what a nightmare that was. They packed everyone into this small room like sardines, and locked the doors on one side which seems unsafe. The crowd was so overpacked, I could barely see any of the show… Unfortunately, I had already paid my ticket. It was not worth the expense. In the outer bar I met some of the dancers who were very nice and friendly. Robbie especially. He made an origami flower and took time to talk with me. I felt acknowledged, and that was nice. I might come back someday, but maybe just not for any shows.

I NEVER wanted to write this type of review .. but after tonight I HAVE to. I have NEVER experienced RACISM at this level. I have been to the is spot many many times and until tonight I never had these thoughts. My friends and I went out to have a few drinks to celebrate a birthday. First let me say I had literally just gotten off and my friends had just made it to Orlando from Atlanta so NO ONE WAS DRUNK.. we know that’s the pic that will be painted. So we had been at Savoy about an hour. Enough time for a shot and a drinking (we were still drinking as this incident occurred). So they were having karaoke and it was really fun.. some of my friends sang and others as well but there were a few who signed up and didn’t show up. So after one of my friends sung I guess it was the hosts time to sing but he got BACK to his post a little late (which he should have never left)… as he was supposed to get on stage the music started to play and my friends went up to the statue just playing around because no one had showed up( no realizing the host was the singer) . They never even went to the stage however the host found it so offensive that he got on the mic and made a nasty little catty announcement. Once I heard what he was saying I went over to smooth the situation and let him know that my friends didn’t realize he was the singer and it was no disrespect. As I’m trying to sort this out a black girl who seems to be a regular came over and jumped into the convo (making thing s much worse). I immediately asked what her issue was and to get out of a convo she knows nothing about.. so we started going back and forth. As this was happening a bar tender came over to put his two cents in.. meanwhile he had been out bartender all night and KNEW we was there for a good time and not trouble. He decided to take the side of the host and the young lady.. NOT KNOWING WHAT WAS GOING AT ALL!! After I set the record straight and let them know they were making the situation worse and letting them know that I was there to smooth things out not make them worse… the situation kinda disbursed.. so I’m back at the table talking to my friends about what was going on.. as we are talking another bartender can up and started talking trash.. I said to him.. “he sir I’m kinda hot right now I suggest h back outta my space… he did.. but then he went and called the police and LIED and said I threatened to hit him. I NEVER DID THAT . Then he tried to get me to stay until the police came.. kept saying “ wait for the police.. wait for the police”… so I asked him why would you call the police and lie knowing I NEVER THREATENED YOU? He replied “let’s see who they believe”… I have NEVER experienced someone trying to harm to me just because. We came out to have a good.. we supported everyone on that stage and our intentions was NEVER to call this establishment racist or unfair.. which is why we chose to come here to celebrate. I am very upset.. embarrassed and disappointed. I didn’t know Savoy did business like this and I will NEVER come here again nor will I recommend my BLACK .. WHITE .. Asian and any other race friends I have to come here. I don’t have a racist bone in my body and I LOVE EVERYONE.. but I WILL NOT SIT BACK AND ALLOW ME AND MY FRIENDS TO BE TREATED AS SUCH. I have NEVER felt this way and I WILL NEVER AGAIN … We don’t go out looking for trouble and we love unconditional no matter race.. creed or whatever each choice a person makes. I am so disappointed and hurt.😢 . I hope that you SAVOY sees this as a problem. I know u have to support your bartenders as I am a bartender as well.. but I really hope a talk is had this is senseless and ridiculous. I am so outraged and outdone. It’s 2026 and we are STILL dealing with this . Do better Savoy!.. it’s waaay more to this story but I don’t have the time is space .. would love if mgmnt would reach out. But I can see from other comments they won’t!

Well, it's a bar. Great drag and buffet on Sundays great deals on liquor.

A great place to have fun and be entertained.

The show was amazing especially MissTree Hugger. Great interaction with the audience and stupendous performance. Food was pretty good, no complaints there. The service subpar, service was not interested in serving our party. Didn’t check on us, we had to have someone ask him to come to our table multiple times. And he had a bit of an attitude,,like we were bothering him. He was too busy flirting with a customer at the bar and ignored when he was told we needed service at our table. The interaction was the same from beginning to end.
