DO NOT STAY HERE - THEY CHARGED US $160 FOR CHECKING OUT EARLY These people basically took an extra $160 from us for doing something that actually made their job easier. Our room was already paid for through the following day. We weren't asking for a refund for the unused night. We simply decided to leave the evening before. Instead of thanking us for freeing up the room early so housekeeping could prepare it for another guest, The Scott Resort decided to charge us an additional $159 "early departure" fee. When I asked the manager on duty, Ryan Witzke, to explain the logic behind the charge, all I got was, "I'm sorry, sir... it's company policy." That's not an explanation. I asked him a simple question: What did the hotel lose? Nothing. The room was already paid for. We weren't asking for money back. In fact, by leaving early, we made the room available sooner. Yet somehow that earned us a $159 penalty. If your only justification for taking someone's money is, "It's company policy," but you can't explain why the policy exists or who it benefits, that's a problem. And as if that wasn't enough, the bar charged $29 for a single drink. Absolutely ridiculous. I'll be speaking with the Director of Rooms, Tyler Staten, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend The Scott Resort. If you value fair treatment and common sense, I'd stay somewhere else.

We had an amazing stay at The Scott. The property is absolutely beautiful—the lobby, pools, rooms, and spa were all so well done and made the whole experience feel relaxing from start to finish. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. Thank you for such a great stay. We would definitely come back and highly recommend The Scott to anyone visiting Scottsdale.

⭐️ 1 Star Extremely disappointing experience at The Scott Hotel. I booked this stay specifically because it is advertised as a dog-friendly hotel, and I arrived with my two French Bulldogs expecting a welcoming environment. Shortly after checking in, I stepped outside with my dogs to the shared outdoor patio/balcony area. My dogs were not barking, causing any disturbance, or bothering anyone. They were simply outside with me. A neighbor immediately came out of his room, aggressively confronted me, and started yelling about my dogs being outside. I told him it’s a dog friendly hotel. I was shocked, especially because this is a dog-friendly property and my dogs were not on his patio, not creating noise, and not doing anything inappropriate. After this interaction, I received a knock on my door from hotel management stating that there was a noise complaint from the same neighbor. This was frustrating and upsetting because there was no barking or noise issue — we had just arrived. The only negative interaction was the neighbor’s hostile behavior toward me. I spoke with the hotel manager and filed a complaint because I felt harassed over something that was completely unreasonable. It was extremely uncomfortable and impacted our entire stay. Guests should be aware that although this is a dog-friendly hotel, bringing your pets may result in conflict with other guests who are not respectful of that environment. I came here to enjoy a normal stay and instead spent my time dealing with an unnecessary situation. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not stay here again.

A very beautiful, stylish hotel with a modern ambiance. The rooms with garden/lagoon views had their own unique charm, and the pools were simply stunning. The drinks and food were delicious. The breakfast was outstanding!
