We loved our 2 night stay at Cornerstone Inn in Washington, Illinois! The room was so clean and tastefully decorated. The view outside our window was the beautiful Washington Historic Town Square that is surrounded by unique shops. A darling coffee shop, Faire Coffee, is below the inn. A fun bar, DownUnder, occupies the basement. We will return again to this fun area to enjoy this experience again. ♥️

Very cute location in the town square. Loved the multiple huge windows in room 4. Thank you again Josie for your flexibility and sorry for our late arrival. We loved the convenience of the coffee shop on the first level. Thank you!

What a gem this beautiful, historic inn is and in such an awesome location! We stayed just one night but we will definitely be back with family just relocating to Washington. The room was nicely updated, clean as can be, and decorated in style. At night, we walked down to the bar in the basement, fantastic, and, in the morning, we enjoyed the coffee shop. All three are in the same beautiful building. We really can't recommend the Cornerstone Inn more highly! The management is super helpful and really seems to have thought of everything you could possibly need. Definitely stay here if you find yourself in the area!

What a great alternative to staying in another chain hotel!!! I travel through these parts once or twice a year for business and have stayed at some not so nice hotels. So glad to have found the Cornerstone Inn! Easy to make the reservation on the phone. Parking was a little difficult to figure out, but now that I know it's across the street in the lot, it will be easier next time. When you enter the building turn to your right and go up the stairs (or take the small slower elevator) to the top. No receptionist, just an envelope with your name and room number. Inside you will find your keys, info on where to park, and Wi-Fi info. One small ask would be to have a plug closer to the desk. Like I said, I'm traveling for business and worked at the desk on my laptop for awhile. Not a big deal. Comfortable bed and pillows. I stayed in room #6. There was some road noise from vehicles just outside the window. Liked learning about the history of the building. Also liked the coffee shop found on the second floor and the bar/restaurant downstairs. I've already saved this place as a favorite for the next time I'm in town. Just hope I get a room with only seven available.
