The servers were really nice and attentive of all our needs and the rooms were really nice
We had a great stay. Breakfast with Albert was the best. He served a long line working fast and hard with morning greetings for everyone.
Service is great, as always. Shout out to Nate for his work!
Beautiful view of the Illinois River. But the hotel is very outdated. The carpet is torn and stained. Stains on the curtains and mattresses. Far more worn and less clean than other Embassy Suites. On the plus side management is very responsive to correct issues.
Quick check in process, the price was very affordable, friendly staff. The breakfast was absolutely delicious Albert was our chef that morning, he's friendly and quick. Our omelets was 5star , my husband who use to works at a fancy restaurant, says the omelet and food definitely meets a high class taste. We will be back. 6/19/26 I also wanted to thank Daryl Parker who made our 25 wedding anniversary so special. He listened to the reason we wanted to stay local to celebrate our anniversary. We had a great view of the river very beautiful at night we also enjoyed evening music ( live DJ) on the patio, complimentary snacks and drinks. Thank you Daryl for giving us a wonderful weekend. (6/12/26 - 6/14/26). Thanks to Nate very nice gentleman.
Hotel side was good. Rooms were comfortable but definitely could use a deep clean/updates. Breakfast was great and the chef was awesome. The bar tender was our issue every night to the point we chose to leave and get our own drinks. The convention center was nice and definitely needs to be gone through for repairs and updates. The food provided was not the best but it worked.
Called and tried to book an event space, waited on hold for about 20 minutes until someone came back on the line to say no one was answering the line and could I try back in an hour. Sure, not a problem, it's busy and that's understandable. He says thank you and since I was so understanding he wanted to credit me with enough points to cover a night stay since they could not help me. He transferred me over to gather the information and it was absolutely a timeshare pitch. No beating around the bush, a high pressure, must pay today timeshare sale. I told them multiple times I was not interested and was told I was getting a courtesy night with points. She said the call was only worth 500 points and the minimum amount of points needed is 50,000. None of this was necessary, it was very predatory, and yes it was from the local office and not a call center. Edit in response to their reply... no one has contacted me, and while I was connected to your sales team during our conversation, it was completely unrelated to the issue above, so "connecting me over to the sales team" was not a resolution as it seems to be implied in your statement. These were 2 unrelated matters.
