Biggest issue was the climate control. It was either so hot we sweat or so cold we needed 4 blankets and no in between. The TV channel selection is crap, very small selection of channels. It was not the cleanest and we had to ask for toilet paper because there was not any in our room. Every time we walked out of a morning there was a clerk or hostess that would yell across the lobby, "sir are you checking out" in an angry grandma voice. Overall, not the best experience.

My first vid to this place. A few yards away from the very corrupt, state capitol building of Illinois. I was met warmly by the NEW owner. Admitted to me that he purchased a neglected complex from the previous owners and is aggressively investing in all necessary upgrades. I expressed my slight disappointment with a lack of lounge and restaurant. I was assured that within two months, their lounge and restaurant will be opened. As a means of consoling my concerns of a lack of a lounge, the new owner gave me a glass of his private stock of bourbon. Now that’s classy and exhibits the South Alabama hospitality that I live with on a regular basis. I look forward to experiencing the forthcoming upgrades. I will be back and wish the new owner and his lounge/resturant business partner the very best!!!

Very nice staff. I arrived early and they allowed me to check my bags. Hotel is located one block from the capital building. Everything is within walking distance. Appreciated the complimentary breakfast. Comfortable stay. A/C was great. I liked all the Abe Lincoln decor.
