Philadelphia Pride 2027

Philadelphia Pride isn't just a party. It's the American Pride movement's spiritual home. From 1965 to 1969, the Annual Reminder demonstrations at Independence Hall — every July 4th — were some of the country’s first organized gay rights protests. They directly sparked the first Pride marches after Stonewall. Today, Philly’s Pride March and Festival keeps that legacy alive, a community-run, activist-first celebration.

The Pride March rolls through Center City, ending in a big festival in the Gayborhood, right around 12th and Locust Streets. You'll find stages with drag stars, local acts, and national headliners. There's a street fair, beer gardens, and community resource booths. After-parties kick off at Tabu, Woody's, Voyeur, and ICandy. Drag brunches and pool parties stretch the celebration all weekend.

Philadelphia's Gayborhood is one of America's clearest, most important queer neighborhoods. Rainbow crosswalks and flags mark the streets. Outside the Gayborhood, check out Independence National Historical Park, Reading Terminal Market, the murals on South Street, or the museums along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Travel here by Amtrak from NYC (90 minutes) or DC (2 hours). Or fly into PHL airport; SEPTA rail gets you to Center City fast. Stay in the Gayborhood, Washington Square West, or Rittenhouse if you want to walk to everything. June is hot and sticky — pack light. Public transit or walking beats driving downtown.
