About this place Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice

The Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice is a nonprofit LGBTQ+ community centre on Stockton Street in downtown Princeton. It is named after Bayard Rustin, the openly gay civil-rights organiser who planned the 1963 March on Washington. The centre offers free peer support, youth programming, queer-affirming education and regular social meetups for central New Jersey. It also organises Princeton Pride each June. Outside the university, it is the main queer community space in town. Check the website for drop-in times and events before stopping by, because programming is run largely by volunteers.

This is a place for every person and every family to feel safe and welcomed. Come for an event or just stop on by. Either way, they can't wait to see you.
