What reviewers say

Some visitors have had fabulous experiences and enjoyed the casual dive bar atmosphere with karaoke. However, others report issues with bouncers removing patrons, concerns about drink tampering by a bartender, and dissatisfaction with the strippers. Drink prices are also mentioned as being a bit high by some.

About this place Flex

Flex is a long-running gay bar in downtown Raleigh, known for a leather, denim and bear-leaning crowd and a no-frills bar setup. It is a different night out from the city's dance clubs: more drinks and conversation, less performance. Prices are low. Listed hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 17:00 and Sunday from 15:00, until 02:00. North Carolina bars of this kind have sometimes run as private clubs requiring membership, so bring ID. Older listings place Flex at 2 S West Street, while this one shows 615 W Hargett Street, so check the current address before going.
