Grand Sierra Resort and Casino

Amazing experience. I dont get out much but I've never been to such an awesome hotel. 2 large pools,2 spas. Large beautiful rooms with great views. Casino and restaurants and arcade theater etc. So much fun. Such a fun experience

First I will start with good stuff= Rooms in the Vista tower (not Sierra!) are very nice. Pool Area is also great. Lots of fun stuff to do in hotel for adults & kids & teens. Arcade, laser tag, darts, escape rooms & more! Bowling was great! BUT!! plan to struggle with every other aspect of your trip. Mistakes, miscommunication & long waits etc. to get a bellman was 45 min wait. DO NOT Valet. The wait to get our car back was insane The flow of the hotel is not “luxury” for a guest. Everything is separated meaning you buy a drink, you can’t walk into pool area with it. When you call for bellman they can’t notify valet, I booked a private party in fun zone & was told different information when I arrived than when I called. Discounts were intentionally created so locals can not easily get them. We added a name to the rooms but no one could find her name when we tried to use it. You have to have your ID for everything!! Had to go check in 3x bc all Of our rooms were not ready & the check in line was insane. Had to wait on towels at the pool bc they were out. No umbrellas to RENT. You have to rent any shade! like a lack of leadership & a lack of training But I must say that the entertainment manager at the pool area was AMAZING. VERY helpful when everyone else seemed to not know much or just not care. Party staff at fun zone was great in room dinning was fast & good. Great beds & rooms. It’s a great hotel that needs better customer service that is more from the perspective of the Guest -not just an operational flow. All Of this said that it was a weekend & very busy.

Deceptive "Daily Resort Fee." If you book just know they will surprise you with an additional $50 a night fee to "cover water, coffee, tea, and shuttle to the airport." I was also told room service was only by request. I did not request service. The room service came each day until I out put the do not disturb sign. I wouldn't mind, but they force you to pay a $1.99 gratuity fee for room service even for the days you didn't actually get it. Room was nice, but this is clearly a deceptive way to lure people in with good rates and then surprise them by charging them more.

How do we still allow smoking inside casinos 🤢🤮

I love this place and the machines be hitting.

Rooms should be better and should offer more amenities. Location is awful! Good luck leaving on foot anywhere

There for the Reno quilt show, the room was fabulous location was great having the quilt show and everything all in the same location was perfect.

The Grab Sierra Resort. Taking money out of our pockets as fast as it goes in. Literally could find a meal or decent drink less than $20 which is outrageous. Plus the casino floor has ten times more losers than winners In my experience. Go to the Peppermill.

GSR is very nice hotel. Love that they have a mall and a number of restaurants. Parking though is quite a chalkenge.

I got food poisoning there from the crab at the buffet. They did nothing and even made me check out the next day on time (wouldn't even give me a late check out) when I could barely move from being up ALL night in the bathroom.
