About the event

Join us for Rochester Queer Open Mic on third Wednesdays monthly at The Unreliable Narrator @ Village Gate! Co-hosted by poet Rachel Wiley and artist/musician Anna Parade, these intimate open mics will be a chance for local queer and trans folks to meet and show up for each other. Making and sharing art in a time of war is an inherently queer act, and this space will be a supportive and warm place to land once a month. Come and share something from the heart or just cheer along your comrades! Featured Artists: January 21: The Darlings, music February 18: Aurora Hatchel, poetry March 18: Bonk Johnston, prose April 15: Show-N-Tell May 20 1 Year Anniversary: Luca Travis, short story June 17: Rachel Camacho, poetry July 15: No feature – All sharing! August 19: singalong! Suggested donation: $3-5 per person, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. (Donations help us cover supplies and drinkies!
