(This was originally written about Trax but it was sold and is now Mary's. Every word still applies.) Ostensibly a gay bar (the last of what were once 4 on Haight St.) it is, in practice, just a nice friendly neighborhood pub. Pool table, TVs, booze, nice humans.
It’s The World Cup, Pride weekend and every bar on the Haight is jumping. Except Mary’s. We ducked in because it was the only bar we found that had a seat. City is hopping. Mary’s was not. The bartender was a tool. Made a few cool guy gay jokes under his breath. Obviously annoyed with the fact we ordered a drink at a bar. We played pool, rhey brought out the table cover. One game only expecting a crowd that never came…
Great little Irish bar with very friendly barman, Conor. Drop in and say hi!
Great queer-friendly neighborhood bar, with cold pints and delicious cocktails!
