I’ve stayed at the State Hotel numerous times and I love it. Unfortunately my last visit was ruined by the smell of urine in the Lobby and Bed bugs in the room. When I asked the front desk lady about the smell she asked me what does it smell like. Urine! We woke up with bites on arms and legs. I think this may be my last stay at the State. Called to inform hotel of issue and Manager Noah was not helpful and spoke to me as if I were lying. Customer service is not the same as it was. Breakfast was not good. No syrup for pancakes and no Steak and Eggs. I’ve had steak and eggs there three times before. My Latino server didn’t even check to see if we needed anything. How do I replace my favorite hotel in Seattle?
My stay at this hotel was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have encountered in years. The original problem was significant enough to negatively impact my stay, but what truly turned a disappointing situation into an unacceptable one was the way management chose to handle it. If Anne the manager is there, good luck depending on your look and where you come form you will get a different response. In addition, I have reviewed past negative comments, quite clear her only response is thru chatgpt. Anne J ’s handling of this situation as a manager demonstrated a complete lack of customer care, empathy, and accountability.
Great stay! Perfect location downtown for walking to the waterfront, ferries, restaurants and landmarks downtown, including the monorail to Space Needle and Link transit to the airport (and other stops). And also, Pine Place Market is just a block away, too! The room is modern and attractive and the bathroom is quite large. We had a corner city view room, so we had windows on both walls. Amazingly quiet room, considering the busy location in tourist central. Couldn't hear between rooms either. The rooftop terrace is a must! It overlooks Pike Place Market and has wonderful water views. There is some limited drink and snack service as well. The hotel restaurant, Ben Paris, is consistently bustling. Room service food also comes from there. Good atmosphere and entrees, though our burgers and fries were really salty. I highly recommend staying at The State Hotel!
Conveniently located in the heart of Seattle, The State Hotel is one of the best locations for any visit to Seattle. A stones throw from the world famous Pikes Place Market, your selection of amazing food, entertainment, and shopping within walking distance is second to none. Enjoy in stay dining at local favorite Ben Paris or enjoy summer cocktails at the seasonal bar Little Ben's on the rooftop terrace with a fantastic view of the waterfront. World class staff help to ensure you have an absolutely wonderful stay. If you are looking for class, convenience, and comfort, look no further than The State Hotel for your next Seattle trip!
This hotel was amazing, every employee that we interacted with was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! The room might have been the cleanest room from any hotel that I've ever stayed at. The hotel was very hip and cool. The hotel restaurant, Ben Paris, had amazing Ricatta Pancakes and great service! The hotel is located about a 2 minute walk from the Public Market which is one of the main attractions we wanted to check out in Seattle. Great hotel, great location.
