About this place Equal Rights Washington

Equal Rights Washington is a Seattle-based group that pushes for LGBTQ+ civil rights in Washington State. They got started in 2004. For nearly 30 years, anti-discrimination legislation had been stuck in the state legislature. Equal Rights Washington helped get it passed. That tells you what they're about. If you’re looking to support local LGBTQ+ causes, or just curious about the history of queer rights in the Pacific Northwest, this is one of the groups that made it happen. You can find out what they're up to now, and how to get involved, on their website. They’re in Seattle, part of a network of LGBTQ+ organizations throughout the state still working for equality.
