Came in ahead of my show to grab a bite. There was no hostess at the podium and there were a bunch of open seats at the bar so I grabbed one. The hostess with short blond hair and a large safety pin in her hair comes over to me. In the rudest tone ever she says “Did you see the hostess?? We’re fully booked.” I politely said I didn’t know I had to book a seat at the bar and promptly got up. It’s fine if there’s no space but she had such a rude tone and demeanor, as if she was annoyed by my presence. Makes me wonder how they treat actual customers. I probably won’t be back just by the way I was greeted.

We decided to save room for dessert, and that turned out to be the right choice. The restaurant's specialty coconut cream pie completely lived up to the praise and was easily the highlight of the meal. Before that, we enjoyed the wedge salad, shrimp, and mini corn dogs, all of which were fresh and full of flavor. We skipped an entrée this time, but after such a great experience, we're already looking forward to coming back to try more.

Greeted and seated by Ben (general manager) felt welcomed and atmosphere was relaxing. Server was Sirena who was professional and knowledgeable about the menu. Attentive but did hover. The bartender poured a great drink. The Chef was Carson- I met him and thanked him for the amazing salmon! We moved away from the Pacific Northwest 4 years ago and have missed the salmon, this dish was on point and I’d come back in a heartbeat for this meal. I ordered the tator tot starter (barbecue mayo, bacon bits, chives) which had a bit of a kick but not too much…serving plenty for two people. The Grilled coho salmon (roasted romanesco, saffron cream sauce, grapefruit) was spectacular! A nice size serving of a most excellently cooked salmon without being too much, the sauce was delicious and not over powering and the grapefruit slices added to the dish and surprisingly tied it all together. I regret not taking photos because the presentation was appealing. Great job Carlile Room staff!
