This hotel was an absolute nightmare. We booked it for one night and checked in during the evening — and immediately realized we had made a mistake. The entire place felt unsafe. The atmosphere was extremely unsettling, pimps, prostitutes, and drug dealers going in and out. This place looked and felt like a brothel! The lobby and corridors were old, never remodeled, and clearly never cleaned. The cigarette smoke was so thick that my lungs and throat were burning. The room itself was terrible — everything was broken, dirty, and smelled awful. It was scary to touch anything. The AC didn’t work and was blowing hot air, making the room even more unbearable. We tried opening the windows just to breathe, but the noise outside was overwhelming. Drunk people were yelling and walking around all night. It was impossible to rest or feel safe. We couldn’t take it any longer. In the middle of the night, we packed our things and left. We ended up sleeping in our car because it felt safer than staying in that room. People should be aware of what this hotel really is. Avoid it if at all possible.
Robert went above and beyond with customer service. This guy absolutely deserves a raise.
I love this hotel. If you ever need a nice spot right downtown, you should stay here. It is an old historic building so do not expect a ton of modern upgrades and hotel accommodations that you may find elsewhere, but it is cute and quaint. I liked that you could walk everywhere and parking was cheap for the night. Sucked having to carry our bags, but if you are prepared, drop your bags off and park after. The staff was very friendly and other guests were nice. Honestly, for the location the price is very affordable and I would stay again. It was clean when we stayed, can't ask for much more.
Nice place to stay for a few days. The room was comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxing.
