Fairfield Inn Boston Sudbury

Classic countryside hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms, albeit all a bit beige. Nice staff, adequate breakfast. Surrounded by nature so that needs to be your thing.

This used to be a favorite hotel of mine when traveling in the area for work (have stayed here dozens of times). Unfortunately I have had major issues with the last couple of stays. Several times I have had what appeared to be blood stains on the mattress protector (could be easily seen through the bed sheets). One time it was a visible piss stain...likely from a pet, which they allow here. Obviously this is disgusting and unacceptable. I requested to be moved to a new room each time which I appreciated them accommodating. However, it was still a hassle and I found myself starting to wonder what the room would look like when I arrived each visit. On my most recent stay my mini-fridge was making very loud noises that was disruptive (very obviously a failing compressor). I requested a new mini-fridge which they accommodated. All seemed well, but unfortunately this mini-fridge malfunctioned as well and I woke up to all of my stored food being at room temperature and needed to be tossed. The hotel comped me and replaced the fridge again (which finally worked...3rd time is a charm I guess). This review would honestly be a 1/5 if not for the staff who are great. They have always provided great customer service and jumped to fix the many issues as they pop up. However, at a certain point you just want to stay somewhere clean and quiet and relax after a long day of work. The entire hotel is clearly outdated and in disrepair...I hope they take the necessary steps to make sure everything is operable and clean. And they 100% need to be throwing out deeply stained and soiled bedding...that is not ok, especially for a supposed 3 star hotel. I hope updates are made and this can be a favorite hotel of mine again. In the meantime, I will be staying at one of the many of other options in the area.

Hallway smelled really bad like an old cat and or wet animal . There was a dog barking in a room near me . Loud, from a large dog. Not consistent . But came at all points thru the day and night . Admittedly, I never told management about either problem . They did let me have an hour late check out and very early check in though .

Excellent accomodations and a wonderful staff too. Everyone has been kind and flexible. Breakfast is delicious and hot with good variety. Coffee is perfect too! Highly recommend!

Hotel is dated, room had musty smell and a urine-like odor. Immediately checked out and left

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn Boston Sudbury. The hotel itself is very nice and the lady at the front desk was friendly. The room also looked great at first glance. Unfortunately, when we went to bed, we noticed that the mattresses were so dirty that the stains showed through the fresh sheets — large red stains that looked like blood. We immediately informed the front desk, and they offered blankets to cover the stains and told us we could be moved to a suite for the next night. However, the next morning there was no mention of the suite anymore. Instead, they wanted to spend hours in our room to “properly” remake the beds. No, thank you — at this price point, this was absolutely unacceptable.

We've been to many Marriotts. We loved this one in Sudbury. Felt like a country Inn. Only three floors, beautiful, colonial style, spacious rooms, very clean, incredibly friendly staff, quiet. We will be back.
