OUT MetroWest

OUT MetroWest is the LGBTQ+ youth organization serving the MetroWest suburbs of Boston, including Sudbury. Founded in 2011 and based at 160 Hollis Street in neighboring Framingham, it runs social, educational and wellness programs for LGBTQ+ and allied young people and their families across the region. Its core programs include Nexus for middle schoolers, Umbrella for transgender and gender non-conforming teens, and WAGLY, a youth-led group for high schoolers, alongside community events and education sessions for schools and congregations. For LGBTQ+ residents and visitors around Sudbury, OUT MetroWest is the closest organized queer community hub. The group has partnered with local institutions such as Congregation Beth El of Sudbury on LGBTQ+ education work, and it anchors much of the organized queer youth and family life in a part of Massachusetts that has no dedicated gay nightlife district of its own. It is a nonprofit rather than a drop-in bar or venue, so visits and programs are arranged through its website.
