The Castle Ybor
Visitors praise The Castle for its unique gothic atmosphere, intriguing crowd, and good music, with some finding it a welcoming place to express themselves. However, several reviewers complain about rude staff, particularly bartenders, and issues with inconsistent music choices or a perceived shift away from its original goth identity.

do not go sober 😇
Sad to see this place get worse year after year. If you’re like me and genuinely enjoy goth/industrial music & culture, don’t bother — just find a decent goth event in Tampa or St Pete. If you’re traveling from out of town go to Chicago or LA for one of the legendary parties happening out there. This place is full of normies or people who want to be “goth” for a night, or looking for their “goth gf” (tik tok trend slop). Everyday is Halloween over here (and not in a cool Ministry way). Most importantly, the music blows. They have the lamest DJs on the planet. Respect to the patio music only. Upstairs has the potential to be more contemporarily cool, with more of a Berlin inspired techno/electro sound but instead has garbage EDM “industrial” ear bleeders going all night. Look I get it, to most of these normie kids, they don’t care what’s playing as long at they’re drunk (so you might as well hire some new talent for the people that do! Just give some of the cool new local DJs a chance!). If you, dear management, reads this, and care, I have a list of DJs ready for you (all local, no one expensive, but we can talk about getting some fantastic dark acts from out of town too). My main gripe is that this place has gotten run down by fakes and is just a tourist trap gimmick at this point. How sad to go from a cultural institution to this. Get some stricter door codes àla Berghain: let those twerps mosey on down the road to the number of other clubs catering to them, and make this a place me and my friends in the Bay want to spend a night again. Trust me, your business won’t go down, it’ll explode with genuine enthusiasm once people feel safe and considered here again. For the love of this business and what so many of us think it could be, please consider. I have no formal consulting experience but I do care a heck of a lot about nightlife and party scenes and have so much desire to see this place rebrand and thrive. Begging you to reach out and have a nice chat about it. I’m just genuinely curious why it can’t be busy but actually cool! You can have both I swear! And really, it’s not much more effort than what you’ve got on your plate already. I can’t pretend I know what it’s like to have a business on this scale, but I’d like to learn more and see what can be achieved. Thanks for reading.
Great Night Club in Tampa Fl. Everyone is welcome in this place, no any dress code, be yourself.
One of my favorite places to go!
