We stayed for a wedding last weekend (Kayton/Pittman 13 June). This hotel from the time we entered until the time we left provided the most courteous, professional and compassionate service. Daniel was at the front desk the four days we were there. He helped with a few necessities and could not have been more gracious. The property, location, restaurant, bar, event locations, rooms/accommodations far exceeded our expectations! Would love to come back soon! Thank you for making a very special event spectacular!
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Haya overall, though we’d likely explore other hotel options on a future visit. The staff was truly the highlight of our experience. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, and professional, even while managing a busy weekend that included a wedding. It was clear the team was juggling a lot, and they did a great job taking care of guests. Pros: * Excellent location, especially if you want to stay in Ybor City while remaining close to downtown Tampa. * Trendy, artsy atmosphere with a unique aesthetic. * Fantastic staff throughout the hotel. * We appreciated being able to store our luggage before check-in and use the pool and gym while waiting for our room. Areas for Improvement: * The luggage storage setup felt a bit disorganized, with bags being stored behind the small front desk alongside other guests’ belongings. * Pool towels were not replenished consistently throughout our stay. * The pool area appeared somewhat neglected in the morning and could benefit from more frequent tidying and organization. The water also seemed oily and murky the following day. * The room was not stocked with enough towels. * The shower design was our biggest concern. While it appears intended to be modern and stylish, the lack of a proper shower door causes significant water to splash onto the bathroom floor, creating a slip hazard. It also allows cold air into the shower, making it less comfortable. * The bed sits unusually low to the ground. * The TV is mounted in a fixed position and does not extend or swivel, making it difficult to watch from bed. * There was no ice machine or microwave available on the floor. My husband wanted to reheat leftover pizza and had to ask the front desk, who then had to take it all the way to the Flor Fina kitchen to warm it up. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the hospitality of the staff. While none of these issues ruined our trip, they are things we would have liked to know beforehand and areas that could improve the guest experience.
Awful service. Borderline theft from my card and no care from hotel when I brought it to their attention.Took a deposit from credit card. Didn’t use any additional services at hotel. Was told on exit nothing to pay which was expected. Then later got an email saying I was being charged $117 for the car park I didn’t use. I prepaid parking in a nearby car park so I have proof I didn’t use it. Then $307 was taken from my card and I have no idea why. Has been a week and still no confirmation of a refund. Will have to go through the chargeback process with my bank which is a hassle I shouldn’t have to do. Will be charging the hotel for my time and inconvenience. A simple error that should have been rectified immediately but this hotel just doesn’t seem bothered.
