Pricing: Residence Inn by Marriott Tempe Downtown/University’s pricing is great for the overall cleanliness and room space. Meeting “n” Exceeding: We found our room spotless, and did not discover any major imperfections. The extra kitchen space is convenient and we would certainly have utilized it if our stay was longer. Room views on the higher floors offer unique glimpses over the downtown Tempe area and Butte. We really enjoyed the free breakfast that offered some unique selections, although the cooked food was not maintained at a sufficient temperature so some of the food was overly dry. Room to Refine: We were a bit frustrated on arrival due to the fact that we booked through a 3rd party application. After booking and a week prior to our stay, I called the hotel and requested a mountain facing room. Our booking stated a balcony. We were given a room without a balcony, and on the opposite side of the mountain. After speaking with the front desk attendant, she informed me that all the suite rooms were booked, which situationally, I feel like I had been given a line. The rooftop is good for views and night vibes, but the pool is more of an oversized bathtub than a swim. Summary: I would recommend this hotel for their cleanliness and the appeal to jaunt around the adjacent downtown area. I have reservations regarding the available amenities and the honesty of the personnel at the front desk.

Excellent location in Downtown Tempe. Parking is available in covered parking. Staff provided efficient, friendly service, attempting to assist with choices of local venues for meals and entertainment. We continue to choose this Hotel as our preferred corporate travel.

The room is very clean, big, and there is a kitchen, two TVs, small table, small desk and office chair. In general it is very confortable and recomended for long stays.

I have stayed at dozens and dozens of extended stay hotels, with many of those stays at Residence Inns around the country. The Residence Inn Tempe is by far the best I have stayed with. The staff was exceptional from check-in to checking out. The hotel itself is very clean and nicely decorated. My room was fantastic with a wrap around balcony with views of the”A” mountain, ASU and downtown Tempe. Room was very clean and spacious. Love the full kitchen with range. Breakfast was very good and even the coffee served was good (not always the case in my experience). Everyone talks about the rooftop deck with pool and hot tub for good reason. The views are outstanding and the lounge chairs around the firepit make for perfect evening relaxing. Without a doubt I will be looking forward to returning to this excellent hotel.

My favorite hotel in Phoenix! Whenever I have to come to Phoenix for training I won't stay anywhere else.

Excellent hotel and location. Surprisingly walkable to dinner bars and other attractions.

Super nice staff. Very quiet. Good breakfast. Lots of fun restaurants near by.
