Motto by Hilton Washington DC Downtown

Enjoyed my stay. Just know what you are getting and it's great. The rooms are small and it's downtown. So you don't have a ton of space and it's a bit noisy from the street. They provide ear plugs but I was fine sleeping. Nicely decorated and everyone there was super friendly and helpful. Room size is fine when you're looking for somewhere to sleep and spending the rest of the day outside. Good breakfast options although not included. The chocolate croissant is huge! Would stay again.

Don't plan on changing clothes in your room, there's not even enough room to change your mind. Booked through Hilton and told two bunk beds and a queen. There's two bunk beds. Was told because I booked through Hilton, they're not responsible. It's a friggen Hilton hotel. $1300 for two nights in a shoebox... I paid $350 a night at the Hampton the previous nights around the corner that was awesome.

Location is superb, rooms are on the small size and the bathroom is very tiny separated by glass sliding door to the room. Not ideal for privacy.

Great value and decent quality. My room overlooked a bar but the AC fan on constant drowned the noise out. The parking deck around the corner has a great hotel rate that equates to about $25/day including taxes. The location is great with restaurants nearby, but what's with them all closing at 9pm? There is a restaurant and rooftop bar at the hotel that looks great. I'd definitely stay here again.

Rooms are very small, so this is not a good choice for family travel. Location near metro station enables convienent access to Metro.

Don't stay here. Overpriced and uncomfortable and unsafe. I stayed in January 2025 and I was very traumatized from staying here, I could not write this review until now. I asked for a refund as I lost sleep from hearing noise outside. Also my flight was delayed and I arrived at night, when the hotel would not let me in for 15-20 minutes. The receptionist saw me and ignored me. I was left outside in the dark (past midnight) until someone let me in. The receptionist never apologized. Staff were not friendly at all. I kept calling booking.com to ask for a refund. I never got it. I was coming from England with a suitcase and the room was tiny, even for me. I will never come back to DC because of how uncomfortable it was.

I am beyond upset and disappointed at the service I just received when trying to check in. I'm here for a conference and they oversold, so they had to send me to another hotel. They didn't give me an address or anything so I was taken to the wrong one, and now I'm having to wait on another taxi to the correct once. Could they not have just told the taxi driver where I was supposed to go? They gave me a sheet to bring to the hotel with NO ADDRESS on it. This has been the worst experience.

The rooms are small by design (micro hotel), but they make pretty good use of the space. The staff is great. They have a great whiskey bar downstairs, though the hours can be tricky, but the rooftop bar has access to several items from the whiskey bar, so it is one of the best rooftops in DC, and the bartenders are great. This has become my go-to lodging spot when I'm in DC.

Room was just under 10x10 for $350+ a night. Clean but tiny, no view, with tiny attached bathroom smaller than some RVs. No valet, parking is self serve in a garage a block away and half validated meaning $28 a day. Wait times on phone were long.

Friendly and professional staff. I was able to have a reservation issue resolved in a timely manner!
