About this place Monaco Washington DC

Hotel Monaco Washington DC: a luxury boutique hotel at 701 E Street Northwest that happens to be right across from the Verizon Center. It's a Kimpton, so you get the reliably good dining and stylish, comfortable rooms. The hotel sits a short walk from the National Mall, putting you right in the middle of DC's big museums and monuments. This part of town is great if you want to hit the main sights, but it also means you're not far from other neighborhoods. If you're here for business, a vacation, or to connect with DC's LGBTQ+ community, the Monaco has the upscale boutique hotel amenities you'd expect. Washington DC itself has a lot going for LGBTQ+ travelers: historic spots, big-name museums, plus neighborhood bars and restaurants that keep things lively all year. The Monaco's central spot just makes it easier to get to all of it. Find more details at monaco-dc.com.

The best part of our stay was the front desk staff, David Camacho. He was outstanding in every way and made a stressful trip so much easier for us. We had never stayed in downtown DC before and were here for a wedding celebration at the hotel. David helped us so much, with restaurant info, directions, museum info, advice, and even pushed my husband's wheelchair when he had a vertigo attack. His kind and thoughtful demeanor really made our stay wonderful. The room had a few drawbacks, struggled with no promised nespresso coffee maker in our room. (Had to complain, then housekeeping gave us a keurig, that didn't work well) and carpets that were not vacuumed. The room was very small, no microwave, and also a restaurant that did not have a healthy menu, or plant based options. We had hoped to order oatmeal for breakfast, but that was not an option. The gym was nice, the decor was simply beautiful, and the location was great so that made up for the few inconveniences. Again, David was the brightest spot, and we hope you will give him a raise!! He deserves it!
