Stunning hotel , staff friendly snd location perfect, shame we didn’t know about the construction going on before we arrived but none the less a great hotel
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was our second stay at this hotel, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. We encountered several travel delays that caused us to arrive much later than planned, and the hotel was also navigating some challenges related to ongoing renovations, including HVAC issues in certain rooms. Despite these circumstances, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. They were incredibly accommodating with our late arrival, helped store our perishable items, and promptly moved us to another room when we discovered the air conditioning in our original room was not working properly. To make things right, the hotel even comped one night of our stay, which we greatly appreciated. Their willingness to address the issue quickly and fairly speaks volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, patient, and genuinely focused on providing excellent service. I especially want to recognize Jose from the night desk staff. During our stay, I witnessed him handling several frustrated guests 2 nights in s row, while remaining calm, professional, and respectful. He worked incredibly hard to find solutions and ensure everyone felt heard and taken care of, even under what appeared to be very stressful circumstances. His positive attitude and dedication never wavered. Employees like Jose are a tremendous asset to any hotel. His professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to customer service did not go unnoticed. He deserves recognition for the outstanding job he does. Renovations and unexpected maintenance issues can happen anywhere, but what truly matters is how a hotel responds. This team handled every challenge with grace, professionalism, and genuine care for their guests. Their customer service turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a positive experience. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place where the staff truly cares about its guests.
Under renovation, but the stay was great. Cant wait to see the finished product!
The Beacon Hotel in D.C was undergoing a remodel which we were not notified of. Trying to figure out how to find the front desk was the first clue this was not going to be a good experience. The on site restaurant was not open. We had trouble with the thermostat (it was extremely warm outside & the thermostat was set very cold. We needed help with getting it set properly. The hot water took so long to reach the room, again we asked for help. The room lacked a closet but had a small open clothes rack. Only one small drawer to put clothes in. There is no ironing board to press shirts & pants. We would have preferred coffee instead of just an expresso. We debated finding another hotel. Had we known in advance about the in progress remodel, we would have gone elsewhere.
Biruk, truly made the experience exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he treated us with kindness, respect, and genuine care. His customer service was outstanding, and he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. What stood out most was how he made us feel less like guests and more like family. His positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to help made a great stay even better. Employees like Biruk are rare, and he is a true asset to the hotel. Thank you for making our visit so memorable we will never forget your kindness!
Imagine checking into a hotel, minding your own business, and leaving without a car, only to be told later that your imaginary vehicle used an imaginary parking spot, and now your very real deposit has vanished into a black hole of nonsense. But somehow, this hotel believes I telepathically summoned a vehicle into their lot, and now they’re holding my money hostage TLDR: They charged me a deposit and refused to return it, claiming I used a parking spot ... I didn’t even have a car
