About This Event
WorldPride Washington DC 2025 took place from May 17 through June 8, 2025 — folding the annual Capital Pride festivities into an international WorldPride edition organised by InterPride. The Capital Pride Alliance produced the local programme, while InterPride selected DC as host in 2019 to spotlight civil rights and the US LGBTQ+ movement in a symbolic venue.
The parade route ran the traditional Capital Pride line on Saturday June 7, joined by international marching groups. The festival programme included the human rights conference, a march on Washington on June 8, and cultural showcases across the city. Attendance estimates from organisers put the closing weekend at two to three million across all events; independent counts were more conservative.
This is a historical record. The next WorldPride is Amsterdam 2026 (July 25 – August 8). WorldPride 2028 will be announced by InterPride.
