About this place Washington Hilton

The Washington Hilton has been a landmark on Connecticut Avenue since 1965 — a curved modernist building at the top of Dupont Circle's Connecticut Avenue that has hosted presidential banquets, major political events, and, consistently, the principal headquarters hotel for Capital Pride and DC's major LGBTQ+ advocacy conferences. The Human Rights Campaign annual dinner, the National LGBTQ Task Force's events, and various other major LGBTQ+ gatherings use the Washington Hilton as their venue, giving the hotel a specific institutional relationship with the community that goes beyond a generic welcoming policy. The 1,100-room property is large by Dupont Circle standards — it operates as a convention hotel with ballroom facilities that no boutique property can match — and the Connecticut Avenue location puts guests at the northern end of Dupont Circle, walking distance from the gay bars of 17th Street and the P Street corridor. The hotel's own Connecticut Avenue entrance is a ten-minute walk from JR.'s.

We needed anointing rooms and Hashem did his best to make it happen. He was very professional and genuinely tried to meet all our needs.

Manuel was amazing. The staff was extremely pleasant. We attended Our Everytown Moms Demand Action Gun Sense University Conference and it was phenomenal. The experience that the staff allowed our Fantastic team was mind-blowing. I would absolutely recommend this facility. Just add refrigerators into your rooms. Blessings ~Dr. Katrina Fowlkes

Chris, the door man is absolutely wonderful greeting me, respectful. When my Lyft driver mistakenly drove to level T for pickup, Chris ran down the stairs and told the driver to come up to the lobby level. THANK YOU for your help!

Hashem and Arthur at the front desk were helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. Wei Shih in the restaurant was first rate. All the staff was friendly and kind. Officer Shaw could not have been more welcoming and kind.

Hilton people must actually stay at their hotel because of the attention to details. For instance not only is there an alarm clock it has a built-in wireless phone charger. The shower has the body wash, shampoo and conditioner with large enough print for this over 40 person to read without glasses. A nightlight is included in the bathroom. And the $15 breakfast is good. Also the room is quiet even with a multi story building going up outside my windows. My only complaint is the hallway. It is soul sucking depressing black with fluorescent lights. I never wanted to stay in a coal mine.
