DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport

If you're traveling from Germany, you usually arrive in Wichita very late, so it's convenient that you can reach the hotel within minutes of landing, whether by rental car or on foot. The reception is quick, and you can get drinks and snacks until 2:00 AM. The bar and restaurant are relatively inexpensive and of good quality. The rooms are practically furnished and all quite spacious. There's a small indoor pool and a small gym. I feel very comfortable there, even for several days on business trips. It's a 15-minute Uber ride into town. There are also several shopping options nearby (though not within walking distance). The price-performance ratio is very good.

this hotel has NO HOT WATER!!!!!! We’ve been here for 2 days and have repeatedly asked for this to be fixed and all we get is ignored. I tried calling Hilton corporate and have been hung up on twice without ever getting a chance to talk to anyone. The front desk staff ADMITTED THIS IS A FREQUENT PROBLEM at this hotel. In his words, “we’ve had to take several rooms out of service for the same issue.”

Housekeepers attempt to knock/walk in into your room multiple times before you check out. The front desk added an extra night to our stay because the house keeper said she thought she heard us ask when she was outside the room knocking on the door. Never followed up with us and doubled our stays price

When I booked the room, I made sure it included free breakfast, and then we were charged $15/plate. The hotel hallway and room had a weird smell. Rooms were good size. Clean. Bathroom showered some wear and tear, especially on door. Overall, for price it was ok. Just not as nice as our usual Hilton experiences

It was a great place. Staff was great, the rooms were excellent, the location well that be something to be desired. Other than that super place

I checked in on Friday 6/19/26 for a 2-night stay to visit my son for the weekend. The front desk staff were helpful and courteous. When I went to my room, the bed wasn't properly made, and I found a crumpled wet towel on the bathroom counter. Nothing terrible, but I returned to the front desk; they quickly moved me to another room. The second room was nicely made, but I immediately found a loaf of Orowheat bread sitting on top of the dresser, and the mini-fridge was filled with food! I assumed the last guest left it. Shortly after, I was relaxing on the bed working on my laptop, and a housekeeper barged in with a key (she didn't knock) to retrieve all the food!!! I quickly returned to the front desk to report what had just happened. Of course, they looked at me with absolute disbelief, but that's about all they did!!! They apologized and said they would speak to Housekeeping. I might expect this at a Motel 6, but I expected more from the Doubletree. This was a letdown.
