We exclusively stay at Hyatt properties if we are able to and were very impressed with the modern features and location of this hotel. Although we didn’t partake in a bike ride (we opted for walking) the accessibility of bikes to bike the riverfront and subsequent Jack A. Markell Trail (it’s amazing how long this goes and incredible that it was built into the marsh!) is a very nice touch you don’t see in non-resort like hotels. We had a corner room overlooking the riverfront and it was a beautiful view - we were so happy to experience the restored Riverfront and know how much time, money, and effort was pumped into that area. Our only comments for improvement would be with the rise of technology, to change over some frequently used outlets to have USB-C/USB-A accessibility built in. Adapters are easily lost on trips or left behind and having these available for guests in their room is a thoughtful approach.

I recently stayed here for a wedding, and I am not usually someone who stays at Hyatt, so was not sure what to expect. I was blown away by the staff here. Enjoli and Neil at the front desk in particular went above and beyond, but everyone was welcoming and helpful. Every request was a yes or they found another solution. The rooms were spacious, breakfast was included and you really can't beat the location to be able to walk along the river walk which is connected to the hotel to any of the restaurants or late night party vibe to Docklands. Thank you to the staff for a great stay.

2nd time staying here, first time was about 4 or so years ago and we were really impressed. This time. However, I can't say the same. Digital checkin didn't work, my rates were increased for no reason supposedly for some corporate glitch. I did have a lovely clerk that helped me fix everything and get us checked in. However I encountered a really ignorant clerk l(blonde with glasses) later in my stay. I was reviewing my room charges and saw I had a pet fee. I notified the clerk he was my medical alert dog. I think she added the fee without checking with me when my keycards weren't working and assumed he was a pet. When I notified her she told me I had to change rooms to avoid the fee. This is illegal and in violation of Ada law, which I did infome her, we were also already unpacked. She then said she'd reverse the fee and lectured me about disclosure (again not required but simple misunderstanding caused by rate issues at check in) and cleaning etc.for which I call complete BS. She claims they deep clean pet rooms they barely clean them. My parents were on the 2nd floor in a pet room it was dirty and stunk really bad. The wilmington area also has nothing to offer and area is quite questionable and sketchy. We stayed for my graduation. So please train your staff on Ada rules. 1.you can't force service animals. To pet friendly rooms. 2. You can't force people to change rooms 3.guests are not required to disclose service animals in advance. 4.you can't argue, harass, and make them feel like crap for having a disability. Edit: my final bill still has the pet cleaning fee and my credit card was charged with it, so apparently she didn't reverse the fee, and now I have to waste more time to get this reversed.
