The hotel is amazing. Very cute rooms and suites with very comfortable furniture, clean kitchen and great seating. Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Nice happy hour and even cookies in the evening an amazing place to stay.

Perfect little getaway for my husband and I! I found this beautiful historic hotel several years ago when in the area and I just fell in love with it :)

This place is incredible. Stayed in the Old Salem suite the night of my wedding and they had the entire room ready for us with roses and champagne. Had room service and didn't have to check out until 1pm. Totally recommend

First and Foremost....DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE IN A WHEELCHAIR. The hotel was lovely. The room was very nice but first...there is only one entrance to the registration desk to check in, through the courtyard..it was closed due to a wedding. Thankfully. I had someone with me who was able to WALK IN and check us in. I had requested a room with a walk-in shower. Since. I previously had problems getting the correct room, I called the hotel..directly to confirm my reservation and the request for a walk-in shower..it was confirmed. There was no shower, in fact..not even grab bars in the tub. Thus, not an ADA Accessible room. I was so looking forward to the offered amenities.. happy hour, bedtime cookies and.a hot breakfast bar. The only way to get to the room where these were offered was to WALK up stairs. I was so disappointed. Again, the hotel was lovely but you can't enjoy it if you use a wheelchair.

The staff are awesome. I didn't get the guy's name working last night very friendly and courteous. The workers during breakfast very friendly. I wasn't impressed with location but plenty of parking. I was also not impressed with the room. It did have a better feeling than the chain hotels.

Our stay was perfect at the Brookstown Inn We’ve been coming here for many years, and have always been very pleased. The rooms are clean And comfortable. The Breakfast is amazing. It had been a year since we have been here, and when we walked in the door, Aaron greeted us by name! How many Hotels, do you stay at where They even know your name?

Always great. Plenty of parking, for free, great breakfast, wine and cheese in the evening and cookies and milk at night. Looking forward to our next stay.

Didn’t spend it on a time here so I didn’t really get to talk to the staff. The little interaction I did have was very pleasant and they were very helpful. The hotel is a beautiful piece of history that I think they have done a wonderful job preserving while also bringing it into a more modern setting. There is a wall at the top that has years of history written into it that you can enjoy. They also have many historical pieces in the lobby area as well. The rooms are beautiful. The atmosphere is pleasant. It’s in a great area with a large space for parking. I didn’t have time to partake in the breakfast, but I look forward to coming back and enjoy enjoying it.

We love historic inns, common areas were nice. BUT, beds shouldn't be historic, too. Our bed was awful - it actually creaked each time we moved - like a bad dorm bed. AWFUL!!! Then, the two-story windows that had NO BLACKOUT SHADES/CURTAINS!!!! It was like it was perpetually 6am morning light - couldn't sleep well because of it. EXTREMELY CHEAP blinds were put up and the handle to twist ONLY THE BOTTOM HALF open or closed was at 7 FOOT HIGH!!! What the heck??!! We couldn't reach it. Spend the money to have good custom blinds and blackout curtains installed. Give up the free cookies, wine/cheese, etc and make the ROOMS COMFORTABLE!!!! Then the tiles in the bathroom stick up ABOVE the grout, so the edges feel sharp and it is NOT COMFORTABLE to stand on - very cheaply done. The elevator buttons were cracked & the #3 button was TAPED ON!!! Did not make me feel comfortable about safety. Bathroom floors should be smooth, with the tile INSET into the grout. VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR A HISTORIC HOTEL OF AMERICA, we have stayed at many.
