There was an Ahmad tea bags selection available at the hotel and when when I tried to get myself a tea bag, I was firmly refused, RUDELY!! I was told it was for display only.
Very dated, Fridge didn't work, asked 4 times to replace and never did. The food almost gave me food poisoning ie the chicken wasn't cooked. Lamps were faulty and flickering constantly, only 1 main light, which made it extremely dark at night. Showered mainly in brown water for 3 weeks, with it being cold, then hit cold, then hot. Tv also didn't work and was from the 2000s. Laundry service was good and a good price, room was a decent size, bed was comfy, reception was friendly in the evening, bar was a nice atmosphere. These are the only positives I can find. 2 star at best
One of the older hotels but still well maintained and equipped. Wonderful views over the bay. Friendly and efficient staff. Food is on a par with similar hotels. Not as glitzy as the Palmeiras. Doesn't have a swimming pool but has a good gym. Larger rooms and bathrooms are good. Very clean. Good location for travellers doing business in the city.
Very basic facilities for a 180 Dollar a night hotel. However the rooms are OK, and the housekeeping personnel is friendly. The breakfast buffet, the breakfast venue, and the staff working there are below standard. Nothing really that one can eat there. Most shocking is that cheese and cold meats are served on the same platters, overlapping each other and are served using the same utensils. If one can't muster a veneer of respect for non-carnivore clients, you wonder how things are done behind the kitchen door. Also, not yoghurt, no musli, and very limited choice of fruits.
Ok hotel for buisinnes trip. Food was ok. Staff was friendly. Prices are average for Luanda. Bottle of vine is around 20 euros.
