Graaf's Pool

This Sea Point tidal pool, right on the beach, has been a central spot for Cape Town's LGBTQ+ community since the 1960s.

For decades, gay locals met here. It was a known landmark, a place to connect and just hang out.

Then, in 2005, parts of it were torn down. That changed things, how people used the space. But even with those changes, the area around Sea Point is still a key part of gay Cape Town.
