The Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa

We got to stay at The Turbine during our recent family vacation. We loved every minute. The highlight for me was the staff, ahead of the views, ahead of the hotel and how it is appointed, ahead of the food, ahead of all the splendour around the island. Thank you Turbine. If I was going to write a book, there would be a small cameo about you. Best.

A beautiful hotel on the Waterfront, where we stayed for two nights. The lobby is very spacious and elegant, bright as is the rest of the hotel. They were very kind to provide us with a breakfast box on our last day, since we had an early departure for the airport.

Great find and the features of the previous building prior to being a hotel have been built into the building. Location felt safe, good food choices nearby and shopping for Ladies is excellent. Great to watch the sun go down with great cocktails

It is a fantastic location to enjoy Knysna. The boutique hotel does an amazing job integrating the past building artefacts with modern luxury amenities. Great food and good wine options. Excellent breakfast and excellent service Knysna is an excellent base along the garden route to enjoy life there and attractions that are around. We stayed 3 nights we could have stayed easily more. Will definitely include this hotel in my next South Africa vacation and whole heartedly recommend to my friends.

The most unique and interesting boutique hotel I have visited. Converted expertly from an old power plant with the old machinery incorporated into the design. Staff are amazing Emilio at reception was great;restaurants are good. Had amazing breakfasts with the best smoothies especially the green banana. Perfect location on Thesan island with a view of the lagoon/boats from our room. Easy access to the multiple boat charters for the sunset and lagoon/ocean cruises. Easy walks to amazing local restaurants like sirocco. Adequate safe parking. Small kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities. A true highlight of our trip on the garden route.

Went to the Wine and Dine dinner (last Thursday every month). Food Wes very good and the Waterford accompanying wines were excellent. Looking forward to the next one

Stopped by for refreshments and some delicious carrot cake. The presentation with the icing sugar dusting was outstanding.

Most beautiful place and friendly staff

First time in the restaurant, and absolutely amazed by the flavor, dish design and service. I truly recommend the prawn ceviche. One of the best mojitos in Knysna
